LaGrange Man Is Found
Not Guilty
Kinston, Aug. 22—Will Hughes, LaGrange white man, was
acquitted in the murder of Fred Lane, colored, in Mosey Hall township last
year, in Superior Court here today. Lane was killed shortly after being seen in
a buggy with Hughes and a negress.
