Officers Make a Big Haul

United States Revenue officers Bud Stell, E.C. Richardson, Police Officer John Walston and Deputy Sheriff W.C. Pearson made a big haul yesterday and not only captured six stills with their outfits, but at the same time secured those who have been operating them as follows:

--Richard Lamm, a white man of Old Fields, had two stills of 30 gallon capacity each, with 100 gallons of beer.

--Bob Sullivant, white of Black Creek township, was found with a 100 gallon brandy still made of copper complete. No liquor was found at this place.

--John Beal and Albert Woodard, colored of Black Creek, were found with a 20 gallon copper still complete. There was also 50 gallons of beer and a gallon of whiskey in this outfit.

--Arthur Ferguson of Cross Roads township, colored, was found with two 20 gallon stills complete and 50 gallons of beer.

All of these defendants gave bonds in the sum of $300 for their appearance at the April term of the Federal Court in this city.
