Ex-Sheriff Ball Returns and Gives Bond

Henderson, Oct. 13—J.E.C. Ball, former sheriff of Vance County who was found guilty by the grand jury of Vance County of the embezzlement of $40,000 of funds of the county and state, appeared here today from the eastern part of the state and gave bond in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the March term of the Superior Court.
