Wilson Athletic Assn. Secures Land for Ball Park, Jan. 13, 1920

Base Ball Park Secured

The Wilson Athletic Association has secured a park for the ball games of the season, and a committee has been appointed to build the stand, arrange the grounds and prepare to play ball.

Six acres of land have been secured form Mr. George Stronach on the Young place, and this effort of the committee was unanimously accepted last night when the directors met in the rooms of the Chamber of Commerce.

A committee composed of Messrs. J.C. Eagles, Ben Smith, and Will Adams, was named to secure a manager and players.

The committee to prepare the grounds is composed of Messrs. W.W. Graves, H.E. Barlow, Bill Adams, Homer Anderson and C.B. West. Mr. West has also been selected as business manager and secretary.
