War Board Restricts Furniture Making, Oct. 23, 1918

Washington, Oct. 23—Restrictions on the manufacture of furniture, eliminating all new patients for the duration of the war and the curtailing of all patents 50 per cent were announced by the war industries board today.

The new schedule refers to bedroom furniture, chairs, certain tables and mirrors. Beveled mirrors are eliminated, bed room mirror plate curtailed 25 per cent, and the manufacture of dining room chairs and toilet chairs discontinued.
