Wife Married Another
Durham, Jan. 1—J.R. Page of Wake county returned to his home
in this city during the Christmas holidays a modern Enoch Arden.
Released from the army service he returned, expecting to be
greeted by his wife. Instead, Mrs. Ida Page Griffith welcomed him. Mrs. Page
had married R.A. Griffith during her husband’s absence, having been notified of
his death.
