Jonas Hargrave Sentenced to 28 Years in Death of Lillie Ramey, Nov. 20 1920

Asheville, Nov. 20--On a plea of guilty of murder in the first degree Jonas Hargrave, negro, in Superior court before Judge B.F. Long was sentenced to serve 28 years in the state's prison at Raleigh for killing Lillie Ramey, negro. The prisoner has been held in jail for several months on charges of murder in the first degree.
