Charlie, Harvey, William Brewer Denied Pardon by Governor, Dec. 7, 1920

By the Associated Press—Raleigh, N.C., Dec. 7—Petition of attorneys for the reprieve of Charlie, Harvey and William Brewer, convicted in Davidson county last August for aggravated assault on Robert Hudson of Hanestown, Forsyth county, and sentenced to hard labor in the penitentiary, is denied by Governor Bickett, who telegraphed his secretary today refusing to interfere with the judgment of 15 years for Charlie and Harvey and the 10 years against William Brewer. Appeal to the supreme court for a new trial has been dismissed. (From the front page of the Hickory Daily Record, Dec. 7, 1920)
