Helen Perry, Telegraph Operator in 1870s, Has Died, Jan. 4, 1921

Mrs. Helen S. Perry, who was telegraph operator at the depot here when the late Dap. Whitfield was agent in the early 1870s, died Friday at her home in Atlanta. She is remembered by the older inhabitants as a cultured and refined woman. Mrs. Perry was a sister of the late Mrs. J.D. Parker. From The Monroe Journal, Jan. 4, 1921
