Miss Mary White entertained a small number of her friends on St. Valentine’s Day with a card party. The highest score in a Shakespeare’s Works contest was made by Mr. C.D. Carstarphen Jr. With refreshments, Miss White gave dainty little Valentine favors. Her guests for the evening were Misses Josephine Davis, Janie Edwards, Naomi Ray, Nine Upton, Martha Mizelle and Mary Bell Harrell, Messrs. W.G. Peel, Dwight Lamb, Harry James, C.D. Carstarphen Jr., J.A. Leggett, J.D. Ward Jr., Johjn Lindymood, Norman Harrison and Herman Taylor.
