The Christian Endeavor Society of New Providence Church gave a most delightful oyster supper Saturday night. The proceeds will be used for a new carpet for the church.

Little Jack Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Payne, who has been very sick, is very much improved.

Miss Lelia Walker, in school at Elon College, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. D.M. Walker.

Little Theo. Gowens delightfully entertained a number of his little friends in honor of his sixth birthday at his home on Monday, 28th of February. After games were played, the guests were led to the dining room where dainty refreshments were served.

Mr. W.H. Hall, who has been very sick with lagrippe, we are glad to say, is up again.

Mr. Bennie Browning, who is in St. Leo’s Hospital, is reported to be very sick.
