Burlington, March 5—Thieves entered through the basement window of the Efird department store here Tuesday night and robbed the store of between $1,200 and $1,500 worth of goods, making their escape. An automobile belonging to W.B. Qualls was stolen from his home by unknown parties the same night. The car was recovered yesterday about three miles form here. It was abandoned by the parties taking it, and left in the public highway. No arrests have followed the robbery of the store and the automobile, but officers are working on the case.
