Harry Johnson, ex-’21, who is at Carolina this session, was a visitor at the college during the Easter week end.
Norman Fox, ‘20, spent the Easter week end with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Fox. He is registered at Carolina this year.
Ruth Coble, ‘17, and Mary Coble, ‘20, spent the Easter week end at Guilford. Ruth Coble is teaching at Smithfield and Mary Coble at Roanoke Rapids.
Hervie Williard, ‘19, and wife, Vivian Hayworth Williard, were both here for the Web-Phil reception Friday night, April 1. Hervie is connected with the High Point Savings Bank and Vivian is teaching in the Trinity High School.
Wm. Rudd, Fowell Mendenhall, David White and Shields Cameron were present at the Web-Phil reception.
James Anderson, ‘09, was a visitor at the college during the Easter week end.
Julian E. White, ‘09, and Ethel Hodgin White, ‘09, spent a few hours on the campus Sunday, April 3. Their young son, Julian E. Jr. accompanied them.
Guilford College alumni now in the teaching profession seem thoroughly awake to the possibilities for rural education in consolidation. Shields Cameron at Germantown is actively agitating consolidation for his district.
Carl Sink, ex-’1- who was a week end visitor at the college, is energetically pushing a consolidation project at Tyro, N.C. He hopes to consolidate four small school districts with the Tyro school.
Louby Casey, ‘20, principal of the White Plains High School, is planning a consolidation campaign for his district.
