Mrs. Ellington, Capt. Field Buried, May 10, 1921

MRS. KATE HART ELLINGTON

The remains of Mrs. Kate Hart Ellington, who died yesterday in Richmond, Va., were brought to Wilson for burial today. The funeral services were conducted this morning at 10 o’clock at St. Timothy’s Episcopal church by Rev. Mr. Bascom of Greenville. Rev. Morrison Bethea, record at St. Timothy’s was out of the city. Burial took place at Maplewood. Pall bearers were Messrs. W.A. Hart, H.B. Hart, Frank Hart, H.M. Avent, J.H. Saunders Jr., and Mabry Hart.

The deceased was 54 years of age. Her husband, Mr. J.B. Ellington, survives. The Ellingtons had no close relatives here but formerly lived in this vicinity.

CAPTAIN BASCOM L. FIELD

Funeral services of the late Captain Bascom L. Field will be held here Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Bethlehem church near Climax. Captain Field was killed September 29, 1918 when the assault on the Hindenburg line was made.

Everybody is invited to attend the funeral services, especially his classmates of the class of 1915 of the University of Carolina and his associates in the military service.
