Comings and Goings at Salem College, Oct. 1, 1921

Comings and Goings

Helen Everett left Friday for Athens, Ga., to be an attendant in the wedding of a friend.

Hallie Ross of Asheboro, class of ‘21, was here for a few days this week.

Mary Shepard Parker spent the week-end with Sarah Lingle, at Davidson.

Last Wednesday Elizabeth Roop went to Roanoke to attend a wedding.

Everybody is glad to see Harriott Harris back again. A little thing like a Texas flood cannot keep her away from Salem.

Ruth Halcomb spent the week-end in Kernersville visiting her grandmother, Mrs. Witherspoon.

Sarah Boren and Katherine Armstrong spent the past week-end in Greensboro.

Mrs. Forest Denton, nee Mary Barrow, of Raleigh, was here for the opening of college.

Alimae Temple, class of ‘20, is teaching at Reynolda this year.

Katherine Boniveta left Friday for her home in Knoxville, Tenn.

Marie Edgerton, Elsie Scoggins, Elzabeth Armstrong and Sarah Watt were here for the opening of college.

Elizabeth Batts spent Saturday and Sunday in Greensboro.

Those of the old college faculty who have returned this year are Misses Ellen Yerrinton, Mildred De Barrett, Margaret Albright, Helen Farrand, Nell Farrar, Otelia Barrow, Bessie Leftwich, Charlotte Jackson, Frances Jackson, Susan Webb and Grace Kenney.

Welcome to those of you who have been with us before!

Mr. James Hanes, mayor of Winston-Salem, was present at our Friday morning chapel service. In a very brief and delightful manner he welcomed all Salem girls to the Twin-City.
