J.S. Cheesman & Company, New Bern’s newest ready-to-wear and dry goods store for ladies, expects to open its doors on Saturday, according to (an) announcement made today.
Mr. Stenger, manager of the store, stated this morning that practically all of his merchandise had arrived and that it was now being unpacked and straightened out.
One thousand articles are to be presented to those visiting the store on Saturday. These will be given away as souvenirs and without any cost.
The interior of the store presents a most attractive appearance and when everything has been arranged, will be a decided credit to New Bern in every way.
