High Point—T.A. Shelton, a member of the High Point fire department, was reported in a critical condition at a local hospital at noon today as the result of injuries received last night when a motor fire truck, which he was driving, turned over to avoid a collision with an automobile. At the hospital it was reported Shelton received a fractured skull and has been unconscious since the accident.
Luther Martin, a member of the fire department, was on the truck when it turned over, was also seriously injured but his condition was slightly improved today.
