96% of Children in Methodist Orphanage at Winston-Salem Test Positive for TB, Dairy Herd to Blame, April 14, 1922

Ninety-six percent of the children in the Methodist Orphanage at Winston-Salem reacted to the tuberlin (tuberculin) tests following an investigation that was ordered when the entire dairy herd of the institution was found infected with tuberculosis and ordered killed. Very few of the children showed clinical symptoms of the disease.
