The Nash County School Betterment Association, which is striving to get a better school in the county, had a well attended meeting at the school house Easter Monday night.
Prof. John D. Wray of the Department of Agriculture was the speaker. He plainly demonstrated the advantage that would accrue to Nash County by having such a school, showing that it would benefit every land owner and tenant, whether white or colored; that it would indirectly help every merchant int his township. It would increase property values and tend to give us a better colored citizenry.
We are hoping to have a Commencement such as has never been held here. We have the promise of some of the most advanced educators of the United States to address our folks. We want all the folks of the county to hear them.
Full announcement will be made and programs distributed in each District.
