The funeral of Mrs. Emma Joy, 63, wife of S.A. Joy, who died at her home in Mount Holly Wednesday night, was conducted Friday afternoon at Hickory Grove Church, Gaston County.
Rev. Todd McClure, the pastor, was in charge of the service, which was followed by interment in the churchyard.
Mrs. Joy is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters: Oscar Joy of Thrift, Lloyd Joy of Charlotte, James Joy of Mount Holly; Mrs. A.C. Fisher of Charlotte, Mrs. Esther Sigmon and Mrs. Sam Abernathy of Mount Holly.
