J.H. Rose Only Federal Agent Killed by Moonshiners, Aug. 4, 1922

“Shiners” Easy With Agents

An announcement just made by the prohibition commissioner declares that only one federal agent has been killed in North Carolina since the enactment of the national prohibition law. This was J.H. Rose, who lost his life in a raid in Swain County.
