John A. Gough, a native of Yadkin County, who has recently moved to Winston-Salem, and Miss Nannie Hemrick of Jonesville were quietly married Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the office of Justice of the Peace J.C. Bessent. After a short wedding trip, the young couple will make their home in this city.
From the Western Sentinel, Winston-Salem, Aug. 1, 1922. Yes, the newspaper spelled the groom’s last name Gaugh in the headline and Gough in the article. I don’t know which is correct.
