Mrs. J.V. Snipes spent Tuesday in Sanford.

Mrs. James Green has returned from a week visit to friends in the vicinity of Broadway.

Miss Libby Dunnings of Revano, Ohio, arrived the past week and will spend the winter with her sister Mrs. L.W. Rhodes.

Mrs. C.J. Carter and sister Miss Sarah Williams were called to Staley Monday morning on account of the death of their brother Dr. T.R. Williams.

Mr. B.C. Morgan, Deputy Sheriff, captured a large genuine copper still last Monday in the vicinity of Lakeview a large quantity of beer seemed about ready for a run and of course was poured out. There was no one at the still when Mr. Morgan together with Lindsay of Southern Pines made the raid.
