Short Skirts, Dances as Bad as Saloons, Nov. 1, 1922

If we are going to stand for women wearing dresses to their knees, the girls dance the boll-weevil wiggle, Texas Tommy tango, bunny hug, the bear dance, the calf canter, the buzzard lope and so on down the line, then the men might as well have their saloons and the whole family go to hell together.

From The Lash, Moravian Falls, N.C., Nov. 1, 1922, Leonard Laws, editor and publisher.
