Nassef Company Draws Up Plans to Rebuild, Dec. 7, 1922

Nassef Company to Re-Build

The first New Bern enterprise to rally to reconstruction from the ruins of last Friday’s disastrous blaze is the Nassef Manufacturing Company, it developed yesterday when officials of the company announced that plans for the re-building of the factory were being drawn up. While the factory is not to be put back on the original site, it will add much to the appearance of the section in which it is to be located. A two-story brick building at the corner of Queen and Pasteur streets will be built by the company.

The building will extend on Pasteur Street as far north as the old factory and on Queen Street there will be two stories. The second story of the larger building will be occupied by the factory and the lower floor divided into stores.
