Winston-Salem, N.C., Dec. 8—A negro, whom the police say is Robert King, who escaped four years ago from the State penitentiary at Raleigh, where he was serving a 30 year sentence on conviction of manslaughter, is in jail here, having been arrested a short distance south of the city. The man denies he is King. A guard from the State penitentiary called here by wire identified him as King. The prisoner will be removed to Raleigh at once.
