News from Culberson, N.C., Feb. 9, 1923

Culberson

We sure are having plenty of rain.

The flu has about all died out in this part of the county.

Messrs. W.O. Rogers and Albert Watson are planning on leaving for Youngstown, Ohio, Tuesday.

We are glad to report Mrs. Hall better this week.

Mr. W.A. Nichols has his new store completed, and will soon move into it where he will carry a line of general merchandise.

Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ellis spent Sunday with Mrs. Pat Clearley.

Mr. George Townson was a visitor at Culberson Sunday.

Mrs. Pat Cearley and daughter are planning on leaving soon for West Virginia to join her husband, where he has been for the past few months.

Mrs. Dollia Voyles returned home from Ohio last week.

While visiting the hen house of Mrs. Ross Ellis, Uncle Billy Possum has the misfortune of getting his foot caught in a steel trap the other night.

Miss Edith Mason has returned home after a three-weeks visit at Patrick, N.C.

The remains of Mr. Frank Welbourne of Texas were brought to Culberson last Friday and carried to Blairsville, Ga., for interment.
