Two-Year-Old Boy Eats Lye—In Serious Condition

The 2-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. S.V. Ashley, Pine street, is in a serious condition as a result of eating lye Tuesday. The little one pulled up to the table in the kitchen, where he found the lye, and began eating, just how much can’t be ascertained.

His mouth and throat were terribly burned, and one finger was burned badly.
