Funeral services for J.W. Wilkins, 41 years of age, who died Thursday just before midnight following an illness with pneumonia which confined him to Watts hospital, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Nifond, 918 Burch avenue, Rev. Stanley C. Harrell, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be held at Maplewood cemetery.
Surviving are two brothers, Edward Wilkins of Mayodan, and Marvin Wilkins of Waynesville; two sisters, Mrs. John Haney of Gibsonville and Mrs. M.C. Webster of Durham, all of whom have arrived in Durham to attend the funeral. Pall bearers will be Walter Hessee, J.R. Enoch, C. Davis, Limmie Moonie, John Davis, and S.P. Arrington.
