Raleigh, April 3--Formal and complete transfer today of the Wachovia Bank & Trust Co.’s belongings to the old Merchants’ National building, which involves the effacement of the Merchants’ and its absorption into the Wachovia, leaves the local branch of the great Winston-Salem institution with a beautiful banking house downtown. Few changes are to be made in the personnel of the merged institutions.
