Albert King Severely Injured at Work, May 8, 1923

Colored Man Was Injured

Albert King, colored, an employe of the Express Company, suffered severe injuries about noon today when he attempted to jump from an Atlantic Coast Line train near the station here and fell under the train. His left foot was badly crushed and he received injuries about the head.

After local physicians had rendered first aid, the man was taken to South Rocky Mount.
