Dave Godwin, white, is in a local hospital in serious condition as a result of a cutting scrape Saturday night. The affair took place in the Wilbanks section. Goodwin received a long gash down the side of his neck. His condition is serious but he may recover.
John Baker was placed under arrest Saturday night soon after the affair happened, but was later released when Godwin’s statement that he was not the man who cut him was verified.
