Invitations Issued for Commencement. . . Rev. Geo. M. McDaniel to Deliver Sermon; Dr. N.D. Hillis Tuesday Morning Speaker. . . Revert to Old Plan of Exercises

The invitations for the 22nd commencement, May 25-26, Meredith, have been issued.

The program for this year begins with the Senior class play, which this year will be given on Friday night in the College Auditorium.

Saturday night the exercises are conducted by the Astrotekton and Philaretian Literary Societies. The medals which are presented each year to members of each society writing the best essay, will then be presented the Carter Upchurch medal in the Astrotekton Society and the Minnie Bowling in the Philaretian. At the same time the head of physical culture will present the basketball cup to the champion class, the Juniors, this year; the monograms to the five best basketball players and monograms to the winning tennis team. It was decided to revert to the established plan of commencement and have these exercises on Saturday night.

Sunday morning at the First Baptist Church Rev. George McDaniel, pastor of the First Church of Richmond, Va., and a moving figure in the Baptist denomination in the South, will deliver the Baccalaureate sermon. Rev. McDaniel will give the missionary sermon at the Tabernacle church on Sunday night.

Monday morning at 10:30 Class Day Exercises will begin. The Sophomores at this time will realize their desire to carry the daisy chain for their Seniors.

The annual concert, given by music faculty and students, will take place on Monday night at 8.

Dr. Newell Dwight Hillis of Brooklyn, N.Y., will give the literary address on Tuesday morning. Immediately after the address, Dr. Brewer delivers the diplomas to the graduating class. With her diploma, each Senior receives a Bible, the gift of the college.
