W.B. Dunn, Wake Forest, Took His Own Life, March 13, 1923

Wake Forest Man Takes Own Life. . . W.B. Dunn, Business Man of Wake Forest, a Suicide Saturday

According to information received in this city Saturday afternoon, W.B. Dunn, a well-known business man of Wake Forest, took his own life early Saturday morning by firing a bullet from a revolver into his head. The body was not found until about noon, when it was discovered in an old barn a short distance from the residence. No reports from the pistol were heard and this possibly accounts for the delay in finding the body of the suicide victim.

Mr. Dunn has been in apparently very good health for some time and no reason can be assigned as responsible for the act. He was very successful in his business affairs and occupied a position of esteem and respect in the town. He leaves a widow and two children, William and Frances, ages 16 and 12. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 5 o’clock with interment in the Wake Forest cemetery.

Mr. Dunn was well known in Durham, having been a frequent visitor in the city in connection with business for a Wake Forest manufacturing plant in which he was interested.
