An enthusiastic meeting of the newly organized Retail Merchants Association was held in the C. & A. rooms Friday night at which time the following gentlemen were elected as officers:
President—Chas. T. Somers.
1st Vice-President—C.H. Saunders.
2nd Vice-President—J.E. Smith.
Treasurer—R.L. Hubbard.
Secretary—T.P. Turner.
H.G. Broome, chairman of the board of directors, who will proceed to draft by-laws.
B.R. Stone was elected honorary member of the association.
The meeting was well attended by a large number of representative merchants.
