Delbrat Wabbleton, 9, Killed When Sand Hole Collapses, June 15, 1923

Child Was Killed by Sand Caving. . . Another Child Was Also Caught in the Sand, But Was Not Seriously Injured

Tuesday, while several children were playing in a sand hole dug under a hill side on the Riggs farm, near Williamston, Delbrat Wabbleton, a 9-year-old boy, was caught and killed instantly, when the sand above them caved in.

The son of Mr., W.S. McKeel was also caught, but not seriously hurt.
