Body Riddled With Bullets Found to be That of Negro. . . Alleged Slayer of Policeman J.H. Smith Hanged to a Tree. . . Smith Native of Staunton, Va.

Palm Beach, Fla., June 7 (AP)—The body of Henry Simmons, a negro, riddled with bullets, was found hanging to a tree on Palm Beach Island. The negro was suspected of having shot and killed policeman J.H. Smith, native of Staunton, Va., Sunday morning.

A coroner’s jury said the negro came to his death at the hands of parties to them unknown. The body of Smith will be shipped to Staunton for burial.
