Leaksville Streets Must Be Sprinkled Three or Four Times a Day in Summer, June 9, 1923

How About Street Sprinkling During the Summer Months

Are we going to face another summer’s head and dust without street sprinkling? Surely our town fathers elected to office without a dissenting vote are not going to allow us to put up with the dust, which if not attended will be 10 times worse than ever before. It will be nothing short of a tragedy for the town authorities to fail to arrange to control the dust situation. Our streets have been torn up two or three times during the past year, and the dust will be a menace to public health if adequate steps are not taken to sprinkle our streets three or four times a day.
