Contract bids for the new school building proposed for Saluda were announced this week. The Saluda school will be erected at an approximate cost of $25,000. The building is to be complete in every detail and will be large enough to care for about 200 or more pupils, and it is to be an 8-room building with an auditorium seating about 500 people.
The new school is to be built of stone and brick veneer. Contracts will be let next week.
