School Year to Begin Sept. 10, 1923

Schools of Roxboro

The schools of Roxboro, white and colored, will open at 9 o’clock Monday morning, Sept. 10, 1923.

Following is a list of teachers for the year 1923-1924:

First grade, Mrs. W.H. Long

Second grade, Miss Lucille Pearce of Durham.

Third grade, Miss Ethel Newton

Fourth grade, Miss Carrie Sue Vernon of Burlington

Fifth grade, Miss Virginia Galloway of Lynchburg, S.C.

Sixth grade, Miss Inda Collins of Holly Springs

Seventh grade, Miss Margaret Whitten of Jackson, Miss.
