Salisbury, N.C., Sept. 15—Max Abernathy and John Dickson, editor and managing editor of the Greensboro Record, have been summoned to appear as witnesses in connection with the Cauble case, according to Solicitor Long. Solicitor Long refused answer when asked whether the summoning of the two Greensboro men was the result of an editorial appearing in the Record on Thursday in which the courts were criticized for increasing sentences appealed from the lower court.

The editorial mentioned the Cauble case in which Judge Long increased the sentence of Roy Cauble.
