Mr. J.F. Myers of Dehart Dies—Good Man

Mr. J.F. Myers of Dehart died Sunday night here in North Wilkesboro at 10 o’clock a short time after he was brought to the Wilkes hospital extremely sick from something like rupture of the bowel.

Mr. Myers became sick Saturday on the way back in a wagon from West Jefferson where, moving his family, he had gone with a load of household goods and was returning for another when he became desperately sick.

He was 53 years of age and was a splendid citizen.

Six or seven sons and daughters and wife grieve over his death, the sorrow of the entire community.

The funeral and burial was at Dehart Baptist church, of which he was a member for years.
