Southern Freight Train Wrecked Near Sumner, Oct. 6, 1923

Train Wrecked

Southern freight train No. 52 was wrecked near Sumner siding at 11:10 o’clock this morning, and traffic on both lines of the Southern was blocked for several hours, according to a message received here by officials of the Southern. Train No. 36 was delayed several hours at the wreck, but train No. 45 was expected to be delayed but little, as the wreckage was expected to be removed by 2:30 o’clock.
