Staley School Opened Oct. 1, 1923

Staley School Opens

Staley school opened Monday October 1. Rev. A.L. Lucas, pastor of the M.E. church, made the opening speech. Mr. Lucas emphasized the great need of e3ducation and told his hearers to attain it at any cost.

Prof. Thaddeus Ferree will pilot the school through another year assisted by Misses Thelma Allred, Hettie Staley and Thelma York.

The enrollment was large. Staley has a new school building. The school was a great success last year and still greater progress is expected this year.
