From the front page of The Cherokee Scout, Murphy, N.C., Tuesday, Oct. 2, 1923. Was there a Hunsecker and a Hunsucker? A father who spelled his last name Raper and his son’s last name Reper? I’m not sure about the spelling of a couple of other names, but I’ve typed them in the way they were printed.
