Good Prices but Well-Paid Railroad Employees Made $136 a Month; Mill Workers, Farm Hands Much Less, Nov. 22, 1923

Salaries and wages paid to railroad employees of all classes for the first six months of 1923 averaged $136 a month, an increase of approximately $4 a month over the corresponding period of 1922. The total number of employees inservice was 1,850,000 as compared with 1,600,000 last year.
