Raleigh, N.C., Nov. 2—Richard Brewer and Purvis Woods, young white men, were severely whipped last night by members of a mob estimated to number 35 men, near Holly Springs, in the southwestern section of this county, according to reports reaching Solicitor W.F. Evans here today. The men are said to have been accused of writing obscene words on buildings near Holly Springs.
