Greensboro, Nov. 3—Herman Steiner, who has been coach for the Trinity college 11, has been deposed and his place taken by Alexander, who in 1922 was coach for the freshies at the University of North Carolina, according to a story that comes from a Trinity source here tonight.
The announcement of the deposition of Stiner has not yet been authorized by Trinity, but it is said that it is being prepared and will be issued the coming week.
Seiner was let go as coach after the game at Charlottesville a week ago, it is said, when Trinity lost its third straight game, that time to Virginia, 33 to 0.
The chief complaint against Steiner is that he did not take care of his men.
