Mr. E.M. Clayton killed a nice hog last week, weighing 450 pounds.
Mr. Bill McClure has purchased him a new Ford car.
Mr. John Gibson is going to move to E.M. Clayton’s place next week.
Cody Clayton has gone to Hot House with the surveyors.
One school is getting along nicely under the management of Miss Estell Mauney and Miss Helen Garland.
Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Coaker visited Mr. E.M. Clayton Thursday afternoon.
Mr. J.R. McJunkin is at home for a few days from Sylva which he is expected to move soon.
Mr. Will Hall has moved back to his old home place near Kinsey, N.C.

Mr. Fred Coleman of Martins Creek was the guest of his brother, Mr. Frank Coleman, Sunday.
Mr. Glen Vandiver was a Hanging Dog visitor Sunday.

The Rev. Lee Ballew, who has been visiting his brother here, Mr. W.C. Ballew, left for his home in Knoxville on Monday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Luther Verner have been having some needed repairs done to their grist mill, preparatory to the fall and winter grinding.
Mr. L.S. Sawyer of Penterville as a pleasant visitor here Sunday afternoon.
Mr. W.A. Slason who had malaria for the last two months, is scheduled to leave for Atlanta some time this week. He still has chills at times and runs a high temperature.
There were preaching services at Macedonia Saturday and Sunday.
Mrs. Sarah Garren, who spent last week visiting her daughter, Mrs. Martha Burgess of Belltown, returned home Friday.
The report is correct here that five persons broke jail in Copperhill last week and made an effectual escape.
It seems an easy matter for some of our citizens to possess spirits, but of an evil nature.
