Mrs. Mary Faucette Died Monday Afternoon

Mrs. Mary Faucette, wife of Mr. Henry T. Faucette, died Monday afternoon about 4 o’clock at State Hospital in Raleigh, where she had been for some time for treatment. She was 54 years old and is survived by her husband.

Funeral was conducted from the residence here at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, followed by services at Summerville cemetery, where the remains were interred. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The funeral was attended by a large concourse of sorrow3ing friends and relatives. While the deceased had not been in good health for the past several years, yet her death was a shock to the community where she had lived all her life and had hosts of friends.

Funeral sermon was preached by Rev. J.F. Menius of the Presbyterian church.
